Thou art welcome here.
Tomorrow is not a day that cometh unto us.
It is the people that come after us.
For them we build, with our own hands, at fixed Hours.
A developing religious community, rooted in engagement with the Christian Scriptures.
We claim no other church's blessing upon our doctrine. One household began it; in time, many houses, each one whole, may join it of their own free will.
God is not finished, and neither are we.
By God-becoming we mean mankind's hoped-for growth in care, in understanding, and in responsibility. No power of machines alone is the measure of the divine.
We receive the Book from earlier hands.
We keep its texts and its disagreements, and pass them on with our own readings plainly marked. This duty, to carry testimony forward honestly, we call Chronocryptism.
Of Christ, we are still learning.
He is a central subject of our study, and a source of moral and religious imagination. Whether he is divine, and whether he rose in the body, we hold open, and we say so plainly.
A Cross whose foot is made a Key.
The Cross is that which was handed down unto thee. The Key is that thou art meant to open it, and not to guard it.
Nothing here is hid.
No Ranks, no inner Circle, no Fund. We keep texts and the readings of them apart; we keep disagreement; and we make our corrections plain to see.
Thou hast knocked twice.
That is the only Key in this house. Ask of anything we hold: the first time, we may bid thee wait; the second time, thou shalt have the plain answer, of any one of us, every time.
Set for any that knocked twice. Freely given; nothing asked.
